Diana Anaid

A rocknroll firecracker and fiercely independent musician, Diana’s impossible to pigeon hole, with jagged-edged alt pop and emotional relevance, she’s an inspiration and dynamic powerhouse performer- a totally passionate one-off and stalwart of the Australian indie music scene.

Blakboi

Visual artist and activist, surfer and poet. Blakboi will change the way you see the world.

Kobya & Mo’Fyah Band

Kobya is a gifted performer singer song writer and versatile multi-instrumentalist. He mixes roots (Marrabenta Mozambique Popular dance Music) & reggae occasionally throwing in some lovers rock to create his own original blend.

Emph N Treats

Emph N Treats are an Australia hip hop duo that have been destroying stages an opening minds for over 12 years now. Their high energy live set not only has you jumping through the roof but they have a great message and stay close to the roots of hip hop.

Louey Howell and the Funkatu Collective

An eclectic Fusion of Funk, Reggae, Soul, Ska & Hip-hop. Led by the drummer on didge & vocals with funky bass & wicked uninhibited guitar this high energy band perform original songs about life, love, community & good times.

Sol Tradas

Creatively fusing melodies and beats inspired by Reggae, Soul, and Funk, Sol Tradas have cultivated a sound that is firmly ‘outside the box’.

Shallie

music stumbled into my life and offered a new path of direction. over the years it has been a tool of expression, gratitude, healing, sharing and learning. music is the universal language for us all around the earth and i truly believe it connects us, in a deeper way that can be truly explained. i believe in following this deep calling, sharing my heart songs and allowing the flow of music in my life to guide me along the way. what’s your story?

B-Syde

Producer, performer, beat maker and loop layer, B-Syde is a multi-instrumentalist that utilises live production to manipulate and loop audio from an array of instruments, sequence tight drum breaks and manifest chunky bass lines.

Mapstone

Mapstone are a 5 piece powerhouse band. Steeped in conscious lyrics, thoughtful grooves and an energy that is simply captivating. Blending and bending Reggae, Folk and world music into a unique fusion that has been quoted as “Tribal Heart Roots music”.

Madtones

Drawing on influences from Jamaican music, Motown and the South Pacific, The MadTones play an upbeat mix of reggae, ska and soul. Their style is unique and quirky, reflecting the band’s vibrant personalities.

SUB-TRIBE

From chunky skank reggae to blues drenched glitch hop, SUB-TRIBE keeps it heavy on the bass yet keeps you light on your feet.

As part of the Magickal Nimbin Mardi Grass 2018 we will be hosting an open stage on our outdoor stage with some of our favourite local musicians. Lots of wonderous music on offer for free in our gorgeous gardens by the magical Mulgum Creek. Our Cafe has a brand new Bush Foods-Asian Fusion menu, so come on down and try it out! We are a calm oasis in Nimbin if you need to have a break from the main street!

From 7pm witness some of the most cutting edge music that the Brisbane Hip Hop community has to offer. 6 different Hip hop legends will have you dancing, thinking and shining. MARDI GRASS BLISSFUL MORNING CONCERT

A beautiful scene is growing and evolving at The Nimbin Bush Theatre every Sunday morning at 10am until 12pm. Accomplished local musicians have begun a series of Sunday morning concerts as a way to ease blissfully into the day. Every Sunday the collective known as Sonic Bliss play a mixture of Asian, Celtic and other world traditions to create a stunning sonic feast for the ears, Incorporating vocals, Tabla, Celtic Harp, Harmonium and other exotic stringed and percussive instruments, these elder musicians are greatly skilled in creating an ambience of blissful calm. The music created is of a Romani meets Indian meets folk sound and is absolutely beguiling and serene. The Cafe serves a range of delicious breakfast options, award winning coffees and local Chai. What better way to begin your Sunday as in the gorgeous riverside gardens as the sun rises over the trees? If you need to begin your Sunday gently to the sounds of world class musicians creating beautiful music, this is an tradition not to be missed.
