Get ready to spark up MardiGrass with a high-energy hip-hop kickoff presented by 420 Superstore, Moodstate, and Sorry I’m High! It all goes down at the Nimbin Skatepark on Saturday, May 3 at 11:30 AM – and this lineup is pure fire.

Shadow – Perth’s own (and the mastermind behind Sorry I’m High) – unleashes an aggressive UK-inspired grime flow honed over 100+ shows supporting hip-hop heavyweights (he even rocked a sold-out Hilltop Hoods tour). MentalAz reps Melbourne with raw, no-nonsense lyricism and serious cred; his latest project features Aussie hip-hop icons like Brad Strut and Ciecmate, so you know he’s coming correct. From the Tweed, ECB Fam brings the gritty lyricism of Northern NSW’s underground, hitting you with real talk and boom-bap energy. Brisbane is double-booked to bring the ruckus: Mesc, one of Brissy’s rising stars, packs a magnetic stage presence and thought-provoking rhymes that get the crowd open, while Coneheadz (the wild duo of Bluntfield & East Coast Alien) drop weed-infused party anthems with gritty storytelling and a comical punk energy.

East Coast Alien is a Hip Hop artist from south East Queensland with a background in the punk and rock music scene throughout the past 10 years. Signing to Bewilderbeats records in 2020, ECA has performed national Tours with bands like Butterfingers and also supported international Acts such as Mac Lethal and Swifty Mcvay With his trio group Coneheadz. Releasing an upcoming LP ECA is going into 2025 at full speed.

Australian oddities ConeHeadZ have been making waves across the underground with their genre mashed sets featuring emcees Bluntfield, East Coast Alien and Zombie Prepper fused by DJs Biggie Talls and CJDDJ, most recently completing their debut US tour “ConeHeadZ Do America” in October with performances in California, Florida and Nevada. Together as ConeHeadZ they’ve supported artists nationwide including Brad Strut, Butterfingers, Downsyde, Eso and DJ Izm (Bliss n Eso) KidCrusher, Lazy Grey, Mac Lethal, Swifty McVay (D12) and Wilfred the Dog. Look for their debut album slated for release later this year!
