World Champion Bike Riders at Mardi Grass 2001  5th & 6th May

Australia's top mountain bike riders come to Nimbin.

Mardi Grass 2001 will be the venue for demonstrations of skill and virtuosity by
Mountain Bike National champions Nick and Daniel Pierce and a team of  top riders from all over Australia. 

The competition course will be set up in the mainstreet of Nimbin, you can catch the action on Saturday 5th May between 1pm and 4.30 pm.

There will be a workshop on Sunday  morning at the Basketball court  for those interested in picking up tips and developing their skills.

Nick, fourteen years old, was the winner of the Australian Mountain Bike Trials in Canberra last month .  He was third in his class in recent World championships in Japan and is currently ranked 8th in the world.

His brother Daniel was National champion the previous three years in a row .

It is hoped that five times National Champion Steve Marsh will be guest
commentator at the event.
