Nimbin's TENTH MARDI GRASS kicks off today. Already the tiny northern NSW village, hub of Australia's alternative culture and last bastion of the endangered species, the hippie, is full of pot smokers from all over the planet.

Organisers say it’s possibly the biggest gathering of Cannabis Knowledge on the planet and welcomes visitors from all walks of life to make the most of it. JUST SAY KNOW! There are experts on both Industrial and Medical Cannabis and a huge array of entertainment including the infamous Hemp Olympix, which includes Joint Rolling Competitions and a grueling Growers Iron Person Event! Up to 10,000 people are expected over the weekend to the grass roots festival, which has grown to the biggest event in the district.

Briefly: Friday: Kombi Konvoy from Byron to Nimbin for Opening Ceremony followed by the Harvest Ball.

Saturday: Full program of events, Speakers, Music, Pot Poetry, Art, Story Telling, Comedy, Olympix Heats, Markets and in the evening the Pickers Ball.

Sunday: More Forums and Olympix Heats before the MARCH & RALLY FOR CANNABIS LAW REFORM at 1pm followed by the Olympix Finals, Cannabis Cup, Seeds Swap and so on.
