Jacob Potkonyak has had a long standing interest in drug policy.

Currently studying philosophy and politics as an undergraduate, he
formed Australia's first Students for Sensible Drug Policy chapter at
Macquarie University in Sydney in 2009. The group aims to educate and
motivate students to become active in the political process
surrounding drugs in society. Since then he has co-authored scientific
papers and government submissions while continuing to publicly
advocate drug policy reform at conferences, research symposiums and in
the media. Jake lives with his father and brother in Sydney's Western
suburbs where he enjoys playing chess, reading the news and making
music.
