‘Irie’! If you feel good in Australia you’ve
probably just seen the Irie Knights! An infectious 10 piece
that combines their overwhelming spirit and energy with hard
hitting reggae grooves.

CC the Cat have played hundreds of shows and amassed a devoted
fan base along the East and West Coasts of Oz in the last four
years with their house-packing live show, their addictive songs,
conscious message and their own reggae-rock-funk sound.

Well crafted songs combine with the primal infectious tones
of his hand crafted CBGs producing trance-like riffs and grooves.
The sound and instrument has its roots both from the Deep South
and Africa, home of the Blues.

The sound of the band is best described as Alternative in the?sense
that it can’t be neatly slotted in anywhere else. It takes?threads
from familiar styles like Funk, Urban, Rock, Pop, Soul, R’n‘B,
House and Latin, and weaves them together into a
colourful exposition of musicraft!
OKA Sat 10 – 11pm (Peace Park)
Their sound is an organic tapestry of phatt earth rhythms in
a smooth hi-fidelity sound that is full of uplifting melodies,
tones and textures.
Bertha Control Sun 7:55 – 8:45 (Peace Park)
Five-piece, all-womyn explosion of funk, reggae, politics and
soaring vocal harmonies. Renowned for lifting entire rooms of
the underground into a dancing mass of euphoria, Bertha tickles
your ears with a phat bass sound, chunks of funky guitars, an
excitable horn section, drums, keys, flute of the forest and,
of course, their famous vocal webs of harmony (Destiny's Child...
eat your heart out!!)
The EXPRESS
With Manju Winkler playing blues guitar in the style of Jimi
Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Featuring Dave Baston on bass
and Saras Perkons on drums.

The Truckers Missus Opera � a tale of weed and greed and lust
and speed - performed by Dick Desert and coming to the Nimbin
Mardi Grass Festival. This great musical queen of the road comes
in the form of a live radio play accompanied by one of the world�s
top country punk bands. Dick Desert has shocked and amused audiences
as far afield as the Edinburgh Festival to home shows such as
The Big Day Out, Woodford Folk Festival, Tamworth, Fiesta �
and will be returning to Nimbin on Sunday the 1st of May at
7pm at the main stage of Peace Park for their 3rd Mardi Grass.
