Transport
Options
The Nimbin Shuttle.
Tickets from the Nimbin Visitor Information Centre. $15 one
way to Byron. The bus leaves from outside the Oasis Cafe daily
at 3pm.
During Mardi Grass the ticket price is increased and the Nimbin
Shuttle timetable is different. There are extra services at
different times and the bus leaves from different locations.
It is best to speak to Mick who manages the Nimbin Shuttle
for information regarding the Nimbin Shuttle Mardi Grass timetable.
The last couple of years we have not sold tickets for the
Nimbin Shuttle at the Nimbin Visitors Centre during Mardigrass.
(I am not sure what the arrangement will be this year yet.
We will know closer to the date if we will sell tickets or
not.)

CAMPING
Just turn up. You will find a space to camp. The all
year round places will be booked up, but there are camping areas
that get opened up just for the MardiGrass. They usually involve
paying a fee at the gate for however long you are staying. You
don't have to book.
If you have other camping space available, contact
us and get it listed here.....
In 2008, for the
first time ever, the Nimbin Agricultural and Industrial Society
(A&I) opened the showground for camping and parking for
the MardiGrass weekend. The A & I don’t get the Government
grants they used to get and urgently need funds to maintain
the place. They can also help minimise the impact of so many
visitors to the village over the big weekend. That
was such a success they are going to keep doing it.
MARDIGRASS 2015
ALL WEEKEND PASS
AND CAMPSITE
$100 per person
Includes $50 weekend MardiGrass Golden Bud Pass
gives entry to all events Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Includes $50 for a campsite with toilets and showers for all
or part of Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
Extra nights camping $20 each (for early arrivals and late departures)
Pay at gate.
Bookings
are per person, not per vehicle or per tent.
If you are doing the Show-ground
camping, just turn up at the Show Ground's gate in Cecil Street
and identify yourself to get your pass/es and camping spot.
Showground open from Wednesday.
If you are just buying a pass,
go to the Town Hall Information Booth on arrival to identify
yourself and collect your pass/es.
Camping ground opens
Thursday. If you want camping with hot showers arrive early.
There will still be plenty of other camping, but with cold showers
or none...
2015
MardiGrass tickets with Camping
The main reason to buy ahead is if camping is required, to
guarantee a camping site with showers. Otherwise passes can
be bought on the day from the information booth outside the
Town Hall. You can't miss it.
