About: This panel will examine two hot Cannabis topics.
Good old Australia. Always punching above its weight. Australia was the first country to introduce Roadside Drug Testing laws. Is improving safety really the goal of Australian drug driving laws? If yes, is that working out? What are the implications of sanctioning drivers based on the detection of a drug rather than impairment? Speakers will discuss the current problems and their predictions about the future of drug driving laws in Australia.
Non-profit supply models offer an alternative, including allowing people to grow cannabis for their own personal consumption. But what could be the future home-growing cannabis in Australia? What can we learn from growers in Canberra? What are the obstacles and challenges? Will future regulations include ways to support home cannabis gardeners?
