A
Full Weekend Pass costs $20 and gives
you access to Peace Park and the Nimbin Town Hall . This includes
the Pickers' Ball on Saturday night, the Hemp Olympix, the Cannabis
Discussion Forums and Talks, the Industrial Hemp and the Grow
Expos in Peace Park, etc, etc.
A One Day Pass for either
Saturday or Sunday costs $15.
The Hemp
Embassy endeavours to keep MardiGrass accessible to everyone,
but we need YOU to BUY A PASS to cover costs and support the future
of MardiGrass and our efforts for Cannabis Law Reform.
Please
be generous of heart.
If you cannot afford that or just want
to contribute to the cause, you can register as a volunteer at
the Hemp Embassy or the Information Booth in front of the Hall.
Four hours volunteering earns you a weekend pass.
We need volunteers from as early as Wednesday
on, so if you want to be part of the preparations, come early.
Please remember
to respect this village that allows this festival, and try to
conduct yourself as a true ambassador for HEMP. Do not give our
opponents free ammunition through bad behaviour. The whole world
is watching, possibly when you least expect it.... Be your best
self. Peace.
The Jungle Patrol,
the parking attendants, all the people doing the work that make
it possible, they are all VOLUNTEERS, so please try to help them
to help you.

Recycling at MardiGrass
Please help to keep MardiGrass
CLEAN and GREEN. Place all waste, recyclables and organics
in the correct bin at one of the 7 recycling stations. Each
recycling station will contain three bins:
Recyclables Bin: for all
plastics, aluminium and steel cans and glass.
Organics Bin: for all
food scraps and compostable paper items.
(no plastic lined paper plates/cups or plastic cutlery please)
Mixed Waste Bin: for all
non-recyclable and non-compostable items.
Full Circle Environmental Solutions will
be coordinating this year’s recycling program (on behalf
of Lismore City Council) and they aim to recover as many recyclables
and compostable organic materials as possible.
Please assist by
‘not littering’ and ‘doing the right bin’.
Thankyou.

Ball - While this is
the 13th anniversary for the MardiGrass Law Reform rally, it is
the 21st anniversary of the Pickers’ Ball. There were Pickers
Balls held at various local halls in the years before MardiGrass
began, when growers and friends came together to celebrate the
results of the season. For a couple of years it ran in tandem
with the MardiGrass Harvest Ball before it reasserted itself as
the name with the longer history. It fits well with this year’s
MardiGrass theme, “Return to the Garden”.
This year’s Ball will see a massed Reggae jam in the Town
Hall. Anyone wishing to participate (i.e. sing, play, or perform)
is invited to be in the hall in the afternoon on the Thursday
or Friday immediately before MardiGrass.

Last year people had such a good time
that we had too many late night noise complaints. As a result
there is a midnight curfew on amplified music and loud drumming!
